Join the MSU Dance Team for our 2025 Fall Training Clinic! During the clinic, dancers will learn a jazz/contemporary combo, pom combo, and have technique and MSU gameday classes. This clinic is for intermediate to advanced dancers in grades 7 and above. Our Training Clinic is for those interested in being part of the Michigan State Dance Team. Our clinics allow for time to get to know the MSU dancers and get a glimpse into what it’s like being a Spartan.
Spectators are not permitted during the Training Clinic. There is a clinic showcase at the end of the event where spectators are able to come in and record their dancer. Participants will receive a MSUDT t-shirt at registration. Sizes are on a first-come, first served basis.
Bring turners/jazz shoes and tennis shoes. Make sure to have plenty of snacks and fluids to fuel you throughout the day.
MSUDT merch will be available! Cash and credit card payments are accepted.
Dress in your favorite dance outfit. Tighter-fitting clothing is better for coaches to see dancers’ lines and placement. We suggest wearing layers and having hair off your face.
Final details for the event will be sent to participants the week of clinic. Spectators are only allowed during the showcase from 5:00-5:30pm.
Tentative Schedule:
12:30-1:00: Registration
1:00-1:30: Welcome, intros & warm up
1:30-2:00: Gameday class
2:00-3:00: Pom class
3:00-4:00: Technique/conditioning/across the floor
4:00-5:00: Jazz/contemporary class
5:00-5:30: Combo & gameday showcase
**Must be out of gym by 6:15pm
Refunds, less the admin fees, are available up to 1 week out from the event date (which is August 31, 2025). No refunds will be granted outside of this timeframe.
